Since its inception, Nissan 4x4 Club of Mongolia is frequently organizing various events such as auto ralleys and one-day competitions in sports games, for Nissan owners and the capital city dwellers.

As a follow-up, on Saturday, 24 November, the Club has called on Nissan owners to participate a one-day event to travel around Chingeltei, Bogd Khan Mountains. During this day owners of Nissan vehicles, reached to the top of Chingeltei  Khairkhan mountain to learm more historical data about this hill.

On the outskirts of Ulaanbaatar city, on the way back from the journey to Bogd Khan mountain, members of the Nissan Club competed between each other in driving, conducted technical skills tests, and fought to win the rope pulling and other entertaining games.

In the contest on driving skills, Amgalan of Y61 Patrol has managed to drive through the barriers in the shortest ever time and has become the owner of the 1st place, a certificate and 150,000 MNT, 2nd came Turmunkh with his Y62 Patrol and received a certificate plus 100,000 in cash, while Ariunbayar on his Y62 Patrol has managed to come 3rd and also grabbed a certificate along with the 100,000 MNT.

Last year, owners of Nissan vehicles travelled through Ulaanbaatar city to study the history of the city and organized a so-called Nissan Parade to help citizens get acquainted with the traffic rules and regulations.

The Nissan 4x4 event, in addition to owners of Nissan vehicles, was attended by owners of Ford, Toyota, and Hummers. They vividly exchanged information about their vehicles and actively participated and contested in the competitions held.  
Although established only 2 years ago, Nissan 4x4 Club of Mongolia has already managed to organize an off-road tour, an auto competition called Nissan Challenge, and a winter journey to the infamous Shiliin Bogd hill.

ABOUT THE CHINGELTEI MOUNTAIN

This mountain is located in the north part of the Capital city and is believed to be worshipped since ancient time for his ability to bestow spirituality. It is surrounded by Salkhit, Khailaast, Khaist from the South-East, Bayantsagaan, Sant, Gunt and Khojuul mountain passages from the West, and Jigjid, Shadivlan, Stupa highland at East, and other small or large mountain passes.
Around twenty rivers roll down from these mountain passages, generate the Selbe and flow further “transfusing” Tuul river.
Per a myth, Chingeltei has a substance of a teaching elderly lama educator, and as such the mountain’s landlord is believed to be a lama. Hence, this mountain is very appropriate for meditating.
During the last month of summer and the middle month of autumn, medical doctors from colleges of monasteries climb twice the mountain to do “lotus”-ing.
As a tradition, Chingeltei District municipality management and employees worship the mountain and conduct ceremonies of offerings.
