Erchim Concern is one of the leading engineering design, installation, operations management and consulting companies in the energy sector of Mongolia.

Estabished in 1974, Erchim Concern started its activities by conducting repair and refurbishment of Darkhan City Power Plant boilers. Erchim Concern has a long history of expertise in installation, maintenance, regulation, adjustment, assembly, repair and manufacturing of basic and auxiliary equipment for power plants. We have provided services for Power Plants No.3 and No. 4, the largest power plants of the country.

In 2010, the executive team at Erchim Concern has made dramatic changes to its corporate strategy aimed at expanding Erchim Concern’s key business activities. Since then, Erchim Concern has managed to establish long-term working relationship with many reputable domestic and foreign corporations, successfully collaborating on notable EPC projects implemented in the energy sector of Mongolia.

In 2010, Erchim Concern successfully completed engineering design of the 220kV transmission line for Oyu Tolgoi project. Between 2011 and 2012, in collaboration with other local contractors, Erchim Concern has successfully implemented the procurement and construction of 220kV transmission line for Oyu Tolgoi project before the project deadline, enabling import of energy from Inner Mongolia to Oyu Tolgoi mining site, the largest undeveloped copper-gold deposit in the world. The transmission line is regarded as the first 98 km, 330kV rated transmission line with double circuit and twin conductors that was ever built in Mongolia

Presently, Erchim Concern is selected as the potential local partner for construction of Prophecy Power Generation Company’s 600MW Chandgana coal-fired power plant and is now collaborating on the preliminary design of its transmission grid and substations. Moreover, Erchim concern has won multiple contracts to carry out installation and construction of heat and power supply systems at 14th micro-district’s urban re-development and housing project, which is being jointly implemented by the Ministry of Construction and Urban development, Ulaanbaatar City Council and Monnis Urban Development LLC.

In 2012, Erchim Concern has adopted the Quality Management System ISO 9001:2008 to improve efficiency of its internal operations and upgrade the quality of its products and services to meet international standards.

Among other, our major clients are power distribution, generation and transmission companies, private utilities, municipal utilities, public utility districts as well as other public and private entities.

Erchim Concern is a founding member of the Mongolian Welders’ Association and presides at the MNCCI Council.
