Monnis Group grants scholarships to the outstanding 20 students
The 2012’s selected best 20 students, who have complied with the requirements set in the Monnis Future Leaders Program, have been granted scholarships during the Awards Ceremony, which took place at Azzuro restaurant, located on the 15th floor of the Monnis Tower. Since 2007, every year scores of students compete with each other in order to obtain the right to be named the best student of the year.From over 460 college students who have applied this year, we have selected only 20, through a very thorough three-stage evaluation process.
These students with an average GPA of 3.8 to 4, received from top universities such as the National University of Mongolia, Mongolian University of Science and Technology, Institute of Finance and Economics, and Mongolian State University of Agriculture, have demonstrated excellent leadership skills and have also proven to be very active in community services.
The students are granted a possibility to apply their diploma themes working with divisions of the Group, and given an opportunity to apply for a job upon graduation.
More than half of the 120 students, who obtained scholarships since the establishment of this program in 2007, decided to continue working at Monnis Group.
The main objective of the program is to promote and prepare skillful employees, capable of contributing to the future development of the country, through supporting their willingness and enthusiasm for gaining knowledge and required skills.
We congratulate the winners of the Future Leaders Program and wish them accomplishments in their study and in personal lives.

Dear Monnis scholars,
We, the folks at Monnis, are pleased to have this opportunity to be here to congratulate you for your hard won victory.
You are invited to this ceremony, because long before this competition took place, you already have proved yourselves as leaders in your field of study, within your communities amongst your peers.
Monnis staff is as proud of you as much as your parents, siblings and your teachers/lecturers are. I certainly hope that you will agree with me, when I state that Mongolia is at the gateways to the golden era of its economic development.
Perhaps, it is the first time we’ve reached this development peak since the fall of the Great Mongolian Empire. This is an exceptional observation we all need to recognize.
As the new generation of Mongolia, we should feel very lucky to have this opportunity to live it through. In this sense, each of us should understand that it carries a huge amount of responsibilities, as well. In other words, the time has come for us to carry the torch and bear the burden.
Do not forget that we have managed to implement this program thanks to the assets produced and accumulated through hard work by hundreds of Monnis employees.
Hence, this is more than just winning a scholarship. You must perceive your victory as earning of a torch soaked with workers’ immense efforts, their skills and expertise, and their trust in you.
You have won their trust. As the winner of Monnis scholarship, you will be receiving 100% tuition, a chance to conduct on-job training where you can learn as much as you can from Monnis staff.
You also have an opportunity to work with us upon your graduation. I invite you to do your utmost to avail yourselves of these opportunities. Our motto is Creating Value and it is all about creating wealth and values for everyone in the community.
Thus, I am fully convinced that you will grow to be experts in your fields of expertise, that you will always be eager to create new values, and at the end of the day, that you will become the most valuable, irreplaceable mechanisms of the engine that will move our country forward.
After all, it is a shared aspiration of the Mongolian young generation, to become LEADERS within the communities, families and at workplace, to maintain high ethical standards, and mature into a socially active, responsible citizen.
Finally, I would like to quote again, a great person and a self-made information technology mogul, Steve Jobs. He said “Stay hungry, stay foolish”.
In one sense, he urged us, the youth, to never give up and continue to “foolishly” climb the mountain of wisdom until we reach the peak, and always hunger for doing a fine job and for creating values.
Once again, I would like to congratulate you again, and wish you success in all your future endeavors.
