NTB LLC is a subsidiary company of Monnis International LLC and has been operating in the road construction and maintenance sector since 2006. Our professional team provides EPC and EPCM contract works and conducts complex road infrastructure construction works in accordance with the detailed design and technical specifications with the highest degree of quality.

On July 6, 2010 company entered the Joint Venture partnership with SouthGobi Sands LLC and won the concession tender for the Nariinsukhait - Shiveekhuren road construction work which was approved by Resolution no. 198 of the Government of Mongolia. The companies established “RDCC” LLC for the purpose of this project implementation RDCC LLC signed concession agreement to Build-Operate-Transfer the “Nariinsukhait-Shiveekhuren” paved road with the State Property Committee (SPC) dated on 26th October, 2011. The Project road will be utilized for a period of 30 years upon signature of the agreement and road ownership shall be transferred to SPC following the conclusion of the Concession agreement.

NTB LLC had included the “Nariinsukhait-Shiveekhuren Road Construction” contract with RDCC LLC, who is the concession owner of Nariinsukhait-Shiveekhuren road on 10th April of 2012 and completed construction work on September 2014 and was successfully commissioned by the State Committee.

The Nariinsukhait-Shiveekhuren paved road has been designed to transport more than 40 million tons of coal annually, which will allow for further growth in the future. The road has been designed and is being executed as per the national standards such as MNS, CNR and international standards such as AASHTO, ASTM, BS followed in USA, UK, Canada, Germany Russia and Europe and provides many benefits to the local environment and community, mainly through reduced soil and water pollution, improved air quality, reduced noise pollution and improved road safety.

The road is Type II, and pavement of which is 12.3 m wide and has 3 lanes,2 carriage ways and total of 43.23 km in length. It is designated for heavy duty road with Cement Treated Base (CTB) of 25 cm thickness and cement concrete pavement of 24 cm. The road is designed with 26 tones or 260 KN per axle load (total of 150 tones in case of trucks with 6 axles).

HUMAN RESOURCE

The company has 25 employees and implementing a project management, daily maintenance work and traffic control work, quality assurance control, safety and environmental monitoring with the local government organizations such as a local environmental department, police office, soum government office etch. There are 5 highway engineers, 1 geodesy engineer, 1 material engineer, 3 health, safety and traffic officers, 1 training officer, 2 operators, 4 drivers and 6 road maintenance laborers.

MACHINERY, EQUIPMENT AND TOOLS

The company has a fully equipped with professional testing equipment and tools such as Impact Test Equipment”, Humbold that are used for quality control. Also Company uses the SOKKIA that is brand of TOPCON Corporation of geodesy and uses heavy machinery and equipment for world’s famous brand which is named LIEBHERR, BOMAG, HONDA, CAT and NISSAN.

Analysis of road quality checks carrying out own laboratory:

• Complete soil analysis
• Concrete test and analysis
• Cement reinforced base test and analysis
• Density test for an embankment and shoulder

CURRENT PROJECTS

On May 2015 NTB LLC has concluded 5 years contract with RDCC on the Nariinsukhait-Shiveekhuren paved road’s maintenance and the traffic control.

А. ROAD MAINTENANCE WORK

The following activities are carrying out within this framework

• Maintenance of an embankment, shoulder, cement treated base and a water flow embankment;
• Maintenance of the concrete pavement;
• Maintenance of the road furniture and traffic marking;
• Maintenance of structures;
• Winter care of the road;
• Other works.

B. TRAFFIC SAFETY CONTROL AND SAFETY TRAINING

Within this framework we carrying out following activities:

1. Ensure the traffic safety and prevent against the traffic accidents;
2. Provide smooth and safe conditions for the trucks on the road;
3. Protect safety of the road condition;
4. Conduct the traffic safety trainings to the truck drivers.
